The Unknown Photographer - In 2021 I inherited thousands of photographic film slides. These slides were part of an instillation that took place in 2017 at the Art Institute of Chicago. The slides had been in storage ever since. A friend of mine saved the slides and then eventually gave them to me. Since there was a call for slides for the installation, they received slides from all over the world. All photographers are unknown. All I have are the images. I have carefully gone through all the slides and made an overall archive. There are many different categories amongst the collection. It was shocking to me that no one was seemingly cared about these moments, their family history. I felt like they were oblivious and nothing was sacred. Within this group of photos I have made different series. Ultimately I would like to project the images and give them the existence they were intended.
